T.R.I.P.R.G. CASE FILES

Following are some, but by no means all, of The RI Paranormal Research Group's recent investigations. In many cases (about 95%), our CLIENT CONFIDENTIALITY policy forbids us from releasing any information whatsoever.

Please note that this list is posted and meant for experienced paranormal investigators and investigative groups interested in true paranormal research that know and adhere to a common code of ethics. The inexperienced freelancer is strongly cautioned against attempting to investigate these paranormal sites or any other suspected paranormally active area alone or without the proper training.

Ramtail Factory / Full Investigation Presently Underway

The Rhode Island Paranormal Research Group enjoys kicking back and relaxing once in a while too, so the group decided to re-visit Ramtail Factory in Foster, RI, and re-open that case file.  Permission was again attained by the Providence Water Supply Board so that we could study the ongoing paranormal phenomena occurring at this historic site legally.

In September 2006 another preliminary survey was conducted to determine if the level of the phenomena occurring at these two sites still warranted our attention.  The survey encompassed the mill's outbuilding area (Common House, Storehouse, etc.) .  During this period, the prelim team experienced both audible and physical manifestations as well as photographic confirmation that more than confirmed that the area was still quite active.

UPDATE:  Because of the huge area of land involved, a second a team was dispatched to survey the area where the mill proper and its giant waterwheel once stood.  The area was found to be active in the extreme.  Photographs (CLICK HERE) and EVP as well as physical and spectral manifestations once again became the norm for the night as it was in Site A.

The group returns for further surveys as free time allows.

Fort Wetherill, Jamestown, RI / Full Investigation

The Rhode Island Paranormal Research Group, in response to numerous emails regarding continued paranormal phenomena occurring at this abandoned but historic site, reopened its prior investigation of this site with a preliminary survey to determine the level of the phenomena occurring there.  The survey encompassed the entire property, taking the better part of the evening to accomplish.  During this period, the team as a whole experienced both audible and physical manifestations with instrumental readings to confirm these sensations as real.

Physical manifestations included hair pulling, an investigator's leg being held and rocks being tossed about on their own accord while audible manifestations included whistling, the sound of shuffling feet.  The team was able to secure several EVP while, again, instrumentation (Trifield Natural Meter) registered very strong energy fields both in the electrical and magnetic spectrums.    Very often, team members would feel extremely oppressed in some areas of the former fort and would have to leave momentarily.

Our sincere gratitude to The RI Department of Environmental Management and its Park Rangers for granting us permission to legally access this otherwise restricted area.

New London Ledge Lighthouse, New London, CT

The Rhode Island Paranormal Research Group's visit to this historical landmark was highly successful.  A briefing shall be made here as soon as all the evidence collected has been properly evaluated by the group membership.  Our sincere gratitude to our host Jim Boos and the rest of the New London Ledge Lighthouse Foundation and especially Capt. John Strecker, for their help and support without which this fascinating investigation could not be possible. An offer to extend out investigations to other lighthouses under N.L.L.F. control in the area has been accepted as well.

An overnight Preliminary Survey was made of the lighthouse commencing at 6:30PM and concluding at 5:45AM the following morning.  Enough hard evidence via videotape and audio recordings was obtained to warrant accepting the New London Ledge Lighthouse Foundation's offer to return and continue our investigation at this site beginning on August 20th, 2005.

As arranged, a second visit was made on August 20th.  Despite an endless string of mishaps and delays including sickness, broken throttle cables and traffic delays, the team finally made it to the lighthouse.  Our two observers, Fran Schiavone and her son, Joseph, arrived later on that afternoon with a tour from the Oceanographic Society and stayed the night with us as pre-arranged. The client has agreed to give this group full disclosure as to its findings and a formal  report shall be posted her at the conclusion of our evidence review of this visit.

The team would like to thank our observers from Staten Island, NY, Joe and Fran Schiavone, for their valuable input and assistance during this lighthouse visit.  It was our pleasure to see Joe graduate from a Ghost Hunter to a Paranormal Investigator.

Team:  The entire TRIPRG Team.

Private Residence Case, Coventry, RI

The Rhode Island Paranormal research group responded to a call for help by the owners of a horse farm in Western Coventry, RI.  The client's main complaint was an overpowering uneasiness in the house, especially in her second floor office.  The team quickly dispersed in pairs in order to survey the large amount of real estate associated with this case.

Three-fold "hits" (Psychic, Instrumental and Photographic) almost immediately supported the client's claims of activity, especially in the garage and immediate surrounding area. In one rare instance, group investigator Stephanie Miller caught the forming and demise of an orb in photo sequence (CLICK HERE FOR PICTURES).

On June 18, 2005, the team returned for a final evaluation visit.  Using modern software and the incredible abilities of our sensitive team, we were able to create a composite "picture" of one of the more active entities on the property.  A young girl named Maria who lived in this historic house and had died in a carriage accident.  A multitude of photographic evidence was collected and is waiting to be group reviewed.

Lastly, a sit-down was performed.  During this event, one of the participants (an observer who asked to join us that night) came under attack, but due to the abilities and quick thinking of the sensitive sat hand, the situation was quickly brought under control.  The house became noticeably calm after this episode and the residence remains so.  A house -wide cleansing is being considered at this time.

Private Case, Coventry, RI

T.R.I.P.R.G. responded to an urgent call for help by the occupants of a trailer-home located in Coventry, Rhode Island.  The clients, two females renting the home, initially contacted member  Renee Blais with complaints of objects moving, unexplained noises and one of the occupant's bed moving on it own while she was in it.  Due to the confined space, a small prelim team was quickly dispatched to the site to evaluate the situation.

Upon arriving, the team sensitives immediately picked up on a presence although meter readings were mostly nominal.  Testifying that electronics cannot always be depended upon and proper investigation depends on the responsible use of all the tools available to us and that includes documented psychic ability.

The activity calmed significantly while the team concluded its preliminary survey and decided that further examination of the trailer and area where it is located was necessary to get to the heart of the matter.  The clients commented on how their home felt more-at-ease and were counseled as to the dos and don'ts in our absence.  As is the case 90% of the time, there was a flare up of activity after the team left, but as instructed the clients asked for their visitor to behave and it has been so since.  Sometime acknowledgement instead of ignorance can go a long way.

The team has been invited back to investigate further the phenomena at hand and an investigation (possibly only on a psychic level) has been approved and scheduled.

Private Case, Coventry, RI (Preliminary Survey)

T.R.I.P.R.G. responded to a private residence located in Coventry, Rhode Island.  The team was graciously received by the client and welcomed into her beautifully renovated home.  The client complained of the house not feeling right, noises and an uneasy feeling always overpowering her in her office located on the second floor.  Only she and her husband now occupied the house, their two daughters have since moved out on their own.  The client contacted us through investigator  Renee Blais who coordinated this our preliminary visit to the property.

The presence's response to our being there was almost immediate as our Trifield Natural Meter confirmed a presence and photographs reinforced this fact.  One of the two members while on their way upstairs towards the office area experienced an auditory demand to stay down stairs, while the other was able to photograph an orb in that exact area at that exact same time.  Further meter readings and photography of the remaining property ( a horse farm) confirmed there were several "hot spots" located on the property.  Psychic impressions were strong in various places as well as abundant photographic evidence that confirmed the property was very active, but not necessarily  connected to the present owners (the clients) of the property.

The group was eagerly invited back to perform a full scale investigation and we have accepted the gracious invitation.

2/13/06 - Investigation is on-going and has blossomed into one of more intriguing cases.  Further details available upon request due to confidentiality issues.

Preliminary Investigators: Renee Blais, Maggie Florio, Andy Laird, Stephanie and Gene Miller

Warwick City Hall, RI

After having contact with individuals presently employed at this, one of city's many historical landmarks, it was arranged that The RI Paranormal Research Group return to the site to perform a follow-up investigation to a visit made a year and six months prior.  The investigation was observed and documented by Brown University student, Freshman Mathew  Sledge.

At 7:45 PM necessary gear was issued and the team commenced with the investigation, using the Council Chambers as their base of operations.  Due to the  size of the area being surveyed, it was once again declared impractical to use the group's IR-CCTV surveillance system.  This would be a "bare bones" investigation.

Gauss, ELF and EMR readings (as well as photographic evidence) at the first station revealed that the presence sensed there by the sensitives in attendance (and by those a year and a half earlier) was still active and still wandering the hallways and stairways of the old city hall.  The names impressed upon the sensitives matched those received prior as well.  Throughout the building, including the former cellblock areas, transient energies were detected, some pegging the instruments and creating cold spots, while others creating just enough action on our instruments or through other means to let us know of their presence.

As before, there was absolutely no evidence to make the investigators feel that the entities residing in this building were anything more than harmless.  Some of the energies suggest a time imprint type of haunting, such as one found in the former men's cellblock area while in the former woman's area a more active entity was detected.  The City Hall's more famous resident still resides on the landings outside the Council Chambers and seems quite content to continue there.

Reports will be made available as individual investigator findings and possible evidence samples are processed and evaluated by the group.

The RI Paranormal Research Group was invited to return in the summer months to re-check its findings and we have accepted that invitation.  Our sincere thanks and gratitude to his Honor, Warwick City Mayor Scott Avedisian and all the employees at the Warwick City Hall for their support and continuing cooperation with this group's efforts.

Private Case, CT

The RI Paranormal Research Group was contacted by a Connecticut paranormal group to assist the Smith Family (NOT REAL NAME) with regard to a series of inexplicable and possible paranormal occurrences plaguing their home.  A preliminary investigation was performed, though which EVP and electronic instrumentation confirmed the presence of two distinct entities.  An overnight investigation was then planned for the following week.

At 7:00PM the Smith family house was turned over the T.R.I.P.R.G. where electronic surveillance cameras and detection instrumentation had been placed throughout the home and property as well.  EVP continued to be prevalent, although inexplicable electronic problems began to plague the team.  It was decided to extend our efforts outside ( despite deep cold weather ) to a historic building located near the target house as all indicators were suggesting that the original target was a "splash over" from the true center of paranormal activity in the area.  All instrumental readings, EVP, psychic impressions and especially phenomenal photographic evidence all quickly confirmed this area as being the center of hostile activity.

Upon this realization, the activity in the target house for all investigative purposes ceased and the house was able to be "calmed" psychically.  Efforts are now underway to investigate several nearby historical structures and sites as soon as more hospitable weather arrives.  The private resident case has been closed.

Ellis Gravesite, West Greenwich RI - Investigation On Going Per Client Request

T.R.I.P.R.G. has been given exclusive permission to continue its investigations at this site. Due to present weather conditions, however, the investigation has been put on hold until April when the outside investigation will be picked up where we left off in November, 2003. By request of the caretaker, we will be expanding our investigative sights toward the nearby cemetery. Several overnight investigations are slated for the cemetery's pond area which is known for its paranormal activity.

UPDATE (5/04):  As the investigation of this area resumed, the team found the area more active than usual.  Photographic and Audio evidence supports the sensitive's claim that the already hot area has not only remained active but has increased considerably.  Plans are now being made with the caretaker for overnight investigations.

UPDATE (9/04):  For the first time, a paranormal team had legal access to the property beyond the security fence at the rear of this cemetery.  It was there that much of the related phenomena  seemed to "feed" from, especially the pond area.  It was a common feeling among all of the investigators present that a mass of uncomfortable energy seemed to come out from the surrounding woods at sunset, giving all of the team members the creeps (for lack of a better word).  Sensitives suddenly begin to feel drained and anything electrically powered was drained at an alarming rate, especially camera batteries and power packs.   A turn of bad weather forced an  end to the investigation, but a daytime reconnaissance visit is planned for a physical mapping of the area for upcoming overnight investigations.

UPDATE (6/05):  Another prelim to decide where to concentrate our investigative efforts in this highly active site was performed.  The occasion was also used to acquaint Investigator-in-training Sara Kraemer with the instruments she'll be using and to begin her training/probationary period.  Another overnight and several other investigations were planned as new areas were discovered when the target area was expanded to the main graveyard.

On-going investigative team, Lead Investigator: Maggie Florio

Private Case, RI

The RI Paranormal Research Group was contacted by a Ms. Smith (NOT REAL NAME) with regard to a series of inexplicable occurrences plaguing her place of business.  Items she needed to perform her trade would suddenly go missing and the appear just as suddenly.  There was also the undeniable sensation of being watched constantly reported by both her and her clientele.  A preliminary  survey was performed and based on the results of an extensive electronic and psychic sweep of the target area,  the case's Lead Investigator, Maggie Florio, decided that a full investigation was definitely called for.  After a post prelim meeting with the client, a date was set for the nighttime investigation.

Immediately upon launching the full investigation, the team was plagued with electrical, technical and  power problems with their equipment.  Cameras malfunctioned and meter batteries would run dry in a fraction of the time they should have.  Although two cameras' malfunctions were quickly deemed to have nothing to do with the case at hand and some ELF and Gauss readings were the cause of questionable wiring and other electrical sources, phenomena that remained clearly paranormal prevailed and increased as the night passed on.  Transient cold spots, sudden shifts into the negative in the atmospheric Ion count and not one but two distinct entity signatures on the Trifield Natural meter confirmed that the team was far from alone.

The entity would easily become agitated and frustrated with both its own and our attempts to correctly interpret certain questions.  The many hits we received via Paracode helped add pieces to the puzzle the haunting put before us, but it was the talent of the psychic at hand  that truly made the difference between questions and answers.  This was no easy task and the situation often teetered on the dangerous as energy readings neared levels warranting a "Code Red." The incredible physical and mental drain on the psychic proved to be a concern as well.

The sensitive sensed a man, whom she kept getting "Beesil" for a name, who claimed to have died when we was 47.  Her visions included the man frantically waving his hands which at first was thought to be a warning to go away...later we learned differently.

Upon speaking to the client via telephone after the investigation had come to a head, we learned that the man whom the sensitive had described perfectly was the client's husband, who died at the age of 47 after a wasp attack (the waving hands).  It was not "Beesil", but "bees kill" she kept hearing from the ghost.

UPDATE: The client has contacted us once again to tell us the calmed site has once become active, but not on the level it was before our last investigation.  A team has been put on stand-by should the client request our return and possible intervention. No further disclosure authorized.

Pine Grove, #30,  Coventry, RI  (On-going)

In a somewhat forgotten corner of Coventry, RI, (like it is all over New England) one of many seemingly forgotten cemeteries resides out of sight and sadly out of mind in many cases.  The paranormal activity recorded with our investigators' cameras and instruments at this particular burial ground is nothing less then phenomenal.  Daylight as well as nighttime photography as well as other instrumentation has brought forth some very convincing indications that the residents of this place are hardly resting in peace.  This will definitely be a cryptkicking destination for TRIPRG for many visits to come.

NOTE:  Excursions into this cemetery have been with the knowledge and permission of the Coventry (RI) Police.  Otherwise, visiting this or any other cemetery after sunset is considered trespassing in the state of Rhode Island and you will be cited or even arrested.

Charles W. Morgan, Mystic Seaport, CT (Investigation Now On-going)

The group arrived at Mystic Seaport Museum at 8:30pm and were guided to the old whaler, the Charles. W. Morgan, by the seaport's representative.  Were were given a quick orientation tour an then immediately went to work doing a Preliminary Survey.  Enough evidence was uncovered (presently restricted due to confidentiality clauses) to warrant a full investigation of the ship.  A preliminary report has been submitted, the contents of which cannot be disclosed without  the  permission of the client.

We wish to sincerely thank the Mystic Seaport for giving us their exclusive permission to conduct research at their fascinating museum.  We are looking forward to what has already promised to be an exciting and beneficial relationship for all concerned.  We also wish to thank all of you who have been writing and calling us with your words of support and sharing your  experiences aboard the ship.

Preliminary Survey Team included  Sara Kraemer, Renee Blais,  Maggie Florio and Andy Laird.  The main investigation will involve the entire group.

UPDATE: On June 27th the group returned to the Morgan  for the much anticipated investigation of the whaler.  As expected, the media presence and high anxiety that comes with this kind of coverage put a serious blanket on any possible recordings and hard data being collected.  Nonetheless we do feel the investigation was a success and wet the appetite for future planned return visits. Collected evidence includes mostly EVP and verified names of crewmen gathered by the Sensitive Team.

Its is our opinion that the old ship is haunted...to what extent remains to be seen.  An Evidence Review Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday (June 28th) where the collected data will be resented for  close examination and debate before officially being handed over to the client.

Future visits to the seaport are now in the process of being planned.  Return visits will definitely include at least one overnight investigation onboard the Morgan as well as starting our preliminary work on other locations of reported phenomena that has caught our interest within the seaport village itself. Presently, no observers will be allowed to attend these investigations.
