Since 1984, The Rhode Island Paranormal Research Group® and The Rhode Island Paranormal Research Society® has been helping countless individuals, couples and families in finding credible answers to paranormal concerns and phenomena affecting their lives. We have worked successfully with many state and local historical organizations as well as with law enforcement on both the local and state levels. Our members are always eager to share the group's wealth of knowledge through speaking engagements. We do and have shared information on our efforts with other serious groups and individuals, but only with the permission of those clients involved. Media exposure of some kind is inevitable in this field and occasionally we will seek alternative methods of letting potential clients know that our services are available. Many of Rhode Island's high schools and adult education classes have taken advantage of this over the years. We use modern, state-of-the-art detection and monitoring equipment during all phases of our investigations from the first phases of a Preliminary Survey to those required to conclude a case. We require all of our investigators, regardless of past experience, to undergo a thorough training process in all of our equipment's function and proper use before they are allowed into the field on an actual investigation. If new equipment is introduced, the entire investigative team is cleared before it sees use in the field. Such training is also on-going and sometimes involves an investigator being formally educated. This is especially true where training would include honing those personal skills an investigator will need to properly interview and tend to the psychological as well as the psychic needs of a client.

2. To provide bona-fide research groups and researchers of paranormal phenomena a reliable and factual resource of information based on case study and accepted theory resource.
3. To conduct and provide conclusions for experimental procedures that potentially will further our understanding of paranormal phenomena.
4. To provide ongoing educational public assistance in recognizing, dealing with and accepting the reality of paranormal phenomena.
5. The gathering of evidence with regard to paranormal phenomena found in both the private and public sector of society as best as instrumentation and alternative means can provide.
6. Not to accept any evidence at face value, but only after exhausting all other possible explanations and after a thorough research of any suspect phenomena.
7. To insure, through the adherence to a strict Code of Conduct, that all case evidence is nothing less than 100% integrally sound and the client’s concerns remain the foremost goal of all investigations and research.
